It finally warmed up enough to think about getting out on the river, so I headed up to the Taylor Canyon this afternoon for a couple of hours. It was great to be out there and the fishing was very good.
These are shots I took this morning of the small creek in my backyard. It was 25 below zero. Not much fishing going on lately.
We fished the Gunnison River at a few different locations down on the lower river this week and did okay. It was definitely slower than last week, but we got some decent fish here and there. This rainbow here was about 18 inches and gave me a good run.
Dave, Chris, and I fished the Gunnison River yesterday down at Neversink. We had a nice afternoon and landed several good fish, including some really nice rainbows like this one Chris caught below.
I fished the East River this afternoon for a couple of hours. It was really cold, with the rod icing up constantly, but the fishing was excellent. Several rainbows and cutbows had very pretty colors like this one below.

Here is another pretty rainbow from the Gunnison River yesterday. I landed some really nice rainbows and browns throughout the day. We’ve had great weather and really good fishing this week.
