Taylor Canyon

Fall is a great time to fish the Taylor Canyon. The river is much lower than summer and it is easier to wade. Yesterday looked a bit more like winter than fall, but it turned out to be a decent day with plenty of good fish to go around.

Taylor River in Fall

This is a great time to fish the Taylor River. The mountain scenery is spectacular and the fishing is very good. Jane caught this beautiful brown trout up in the Taylor Canyon this week. It was a really nice fish and a fun afternoon!

Taylor River at Crystal Creek

I had a really fun day on Saturday on the Taylor River at Crystal Creek guiding John and Cliff. They nymphed the deep runs and caught lots of browns, rainbows, and cutbows. It was an excellent day!

Gunnison River

Joe had a couple of good days of fishing with me this week on the East River and the Gunnison River. He caught some nice browns and rainbows on our lease on the Gunnison River today. And we were also lucky enough to dodge the rain storms.

Deb got this nice kokanee on the East River at our ERA Club yesterday. We’re seeing some salmon stacking up in the big holes and the numbers should increase over the next two weeks or so. Most fish are very silver right now and a few are getting some color…
